Well one sterotyped cop spends his day driving the streets and taking leisurely snacks at Dunkin Donuts, the other is a little bit more health conscious and savours the ambience of Starbucks.
So now there is even more competition for seating.
These patrol bikes were locked up outside a downtown Starbucks the other day, inside were 4 police officers enjoying their semi doppi skim mellow caffeine free sprinkled beverages and pastries.
I really just wanted to share some pictures of their bikes and equipment. It looks like the medic (?) may get the nicer bike with disc brakes. Also note the specially themed dual purpose bike locks.
In all seriousness though, I love seeing police doing their beat on bikes, it feels friendly, maybe to me it seems approachable. Let's just hope and pray that Rahm doesn't make them get all New York on our asses. New York moment #1 here and #2 here.
