Vanderkitten and Storck.

'Vanderkitten'
19" x 25 1/2" on very heavyweight watercolour paper.

Inspired by the fact that the Storck Demo Tour was visiting my mate J's bike shop, Tati Cycles in Hyde Park Chicago I put together this little number. Which I am bloody pleased with. I don't think my photography quite does it justice - it looks even better in the flesh.

Takes me back to the college days of just being loose with drawing and having fun and at the same time captures the feeling of speed that is a must when the two forces of the 'kittens and Storck combine. It started as a series of light black ink washes with line drawing added between each new wash, layers and layers add up to the final piece.

J also hung a few of my paintings in the store the night that Storck visited - thanks again.

    To be honest though it's a mix of a few of you including Jenn Reither too.
    You're all going so darn fast its gonna look like all of you!!
    Hope you like it.
    Currently hanging at the University of Chicago awaiting a buyer - hopefully.
